The E32-915T20D LoRa Module is a high-performance wireless transceiver based on the legendary Semtech SX1276 RF chip. While raw SX1276 modules require complex SPI programming to manage the radio hardware, this EBYTE E32 series module features a built-in microcontroller that handles all the heavy lifting. It provides a straightforward UART (serial) interface, allowing you to send and receive data wirelessly just as easily as you would print a serial message from an Arduino or Raspberry Pi.
Operating in the 915MHz ISM band, this module utilizes LoRa (Long Range) Direct Sequence Spread Spectrum (DSSS) technology. This modulation technique grants the module exceptional receiver sensitivity (-146 dBm) and unparalleled resistance to RF interference, allowing it to penetrate obstacles and transmit data over distances of up to 5.5 kilometers in open air. With a maximum transmitting power of 20dBm (100mW), it is the ultimate solution for replacing long cable runs in complex environments.
Key Features & Functional Advantages:
-
UART Transparent Transmission: Completely abstracts the complex SPI radio setup. Just connect TX and RX to your microcontroller and start sending string or hex data immediately.
-
Forward Error Correction (FEC): The internal algorithm automatically detects and corrects intercepted corrupted data packets during transmission, drastically improving reliability in noisy RF environments.
-
Hardware Mode Switching: Features two dedicated pins (
M0andM1) that allow you to instantly switch between four operating modes: Normal, Wake-up, Power-Saving, and Sleep, without needing to send complex AT commands. -
AUX Buffer Indication: A dedicated
AUXpin acts as a real-time hardware status indicator. It tells your microcontroller exactly when the module's 512-byte buffer is full, when a transmission is actively occurring, or when the module is busy initializing. -
Targeted & Broadcast Modes: Supports both transparent broadcasting (all modules on the same channel hear the message) and fixed-point transmission (sending private data to a specific module address and channel).
Perfect For:
-
Industrial Sensor Networks: Collect telemetry data from distributed flow meters, temperature sensors, and power monitors across sprawling manufacturing plants or agricultural fields.
-
Remote Automation: Wirelessly bridge UART connections between PLCs, control panels, and robotic arms without pulling expensive RS485 cabling.
-
UAV & Drone Telemetry: Establish a robust, low-latency data link for transmitting GPS coordinates, battery status, and flight data back to a ground control station.
-
Smart Home & Security: Build custom alarm systems, remote gate controllers, and environmental monitors that easily penetrate multiple concrete walls.
