The SRD-05VDC-SL-C is a popular 5V, 5-pin SPDT electromechanical power relay. It allows a low-voltage microcontroller (like an Arduino) to switch much higher voltage/current devices, such as motors, lights, or appliances.

Pinout Configuration
The relay has 5 pins on the bottom, designed for a standard PCB or breadboard:
  1. Coil 1: Connects to your control signal or 5V.
  2. Coil 2: Connects to Ground.
  3. Common (COM): The center pin that connects to either the Normally Closed or Normally Open pin.
  4. Normally Closed (NC): Connected to the Common pin when the relay coil is unpowered (OFF).
  5. Normally Open (NO): Connected to the Common pin when the relay coil is powered (ON).
