The SW-520D is a roll-ball tilt and vibration sensor that acts as a simple digital ON/OFF switch. 
How It Works
  • ON State: Tilted 30 to 90 degrees downward, internal metal balls roll onto the contact pins, closing the circuit.
  • OFF State: Upright or tilted away, the balls roll off the pins, opening the circuit.
  • Vibration: Shaking causes the balls to bounce, creating rapid, intermittent ON/OFF signals.

  • Voltage/Current: Max 12V–20V DC / 20mA–30mA (signal level only).
  • Polarity: Non-polar; pins can be wired interchangeably.
  • Housing: Metal body sealed with a protective PVC sleeve. 
Implementation Essentials
  • Resistor: Requires a pull-up or pull-down resistor to prevent floating signals.
  • Debouncing: Needs software debouncing code to filter out erratic signals caused by bouncing balls.
