The TEMT6000 is a highly sensitive ambient light sensor that mimics the human eye's response to visible light (peaking around 570 nm). Commonly used in microcontrollers like Arduino, ESP32, and Raspberry Pi, it outputs an analog voltage proportional to light intensity—the brighter the light, the higher the voltage.
- Sensor Type: NPN silicon epitaxial planar phototransistor.
- Sensitivity Range: 1 to 1000 Lux (covers the visible light spectrum from 400 to 700 nm, effectively filtering out invisible IR and UV rays).
- Operating Voltage: 3.3V to 5.5V DC.
- Output: Analog signal (0V to VCC).
- Temperature Range: -40°C to 85°C.
